Mohamed VI Museum
Aman Museum of Water Civilization in Morocco
The Mohammed VI Museum of Water Civilization is a cultural center for the traditional, artistic, social and even cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Morocco, which has worked hard in implementing a development strategy based on the development of water resources.
The Mohammed VI Museum of Water Civilization was established by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs for its genius experience throughout history in water management, and in honor of the late Hassan II and His Majesty King Mohammed VI for their tireless work in perpetuating the politics and hydraulic achievements of the Kingdom of Morocco.
A unique building in the world of museums in Morocco, as it is considered a cultural reference in the history, science and water technology in Morocco. It has a Museum of Anthropology and Science, a modern and interactive translation center, a place for education,
RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURE AND DYNAMISM
In addition to a permanent exhibition room spanning 3 levels, the museum building contains: a multi-purpose room for temporary exhibitions, conferences and seminars. Media library and archive room for researchers. Workshop rooms for educational activities.
Through a well-crafted animation, the visit offers a physical and sensory immersion in the theme of water via various forms of motion photography: object, video, sound, interactive display, multimedia presentation on a model, etc. The Museum thus aims to be an interpretation center with modern educational tools and innovative themes.
INTEGRATED MUSEUM OF GOOD ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICE
In order to build a modern institution that cares and respects the environment, the Mohammed VI Museum of Water Civilization in Morocco integrates within its architectural and landscape design processes linked to the good management of water resources. The museum itself becomes the target of an exhibition demonstrating good practices and technical innovations in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), both in terms of the building and the park project.
