THE MUSEUM OF MOROCCAN ARTS IN MARRAKECH

 

 

Dar Si Said Museum is one of the luxury traditional houses of Marrakesh, which was established in the nineteenth century by a Minister of War during the reign of Sultan Abdul Aziz “Saeed bin Musa”, brother of the then senior Sultan of the Sultan known as Hammad. It opened in 1930 and is called the Museum of Moroccan Arts.

The artifacts hosted by the Dar El Si Said Museum consist of wooden and ceramic collections and traditional weapons, in addition to jewelry and textiles brought in from different regions, such as Souss and Tafilalt, such as the large and small atlas, and other than this.

THE EXHIBITS OF THE MUSEUM OF MOROCCAN ARTS

DAR SI SAID BUILDING

After independence, the building of Dar Si Said was divided between the crafts section and the museum, which includes half of the palace
It consists of two floors, there are four rooms in the big riad and a small riad.

The Dar Si Said Museum remains a model architectural and engineering value that testifies to the glory of the original Moroccan architecture in all its details.

 

 

THE LOCATION

Dar Si Said is located in the old Medina of Marrakech Derb Bahia. Visitors can go to the museum from Jamaa el Fna square direction or from Riad Zitoun Jedid side.

THE OPENING HOURS AND PRICE

The museum doors are open every day, except on Tuesday, from 10 am in the morning until 6 pm in the evening
