EL BAHIA PALACE
one of the most attractive sightseeing in Marrakech
El Bahia Palace, which is located in Marrakech and was built in the late nineteenth century, during the reign of Sultan Abdul Aziz, by the royal eyebrow at that time, “Si Musa Ba Hammad”, which brought to him the most skilled craftsmen for six consecutive years. He could not see the palace, where he died in 1890, and the work was far from over. He continued his son, known as Ba hmad, who built it to become a marvel of Moroccan architecture at the end of the nineteenth century.
THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE PALACE
Bahia Palace area was about 22,000 square meters, many of the suites and halls were engraved in the Moroccan Islamic style and the basins in addition to the garden with an area of two acres (8000 square meters) as well as many rooms. However, the area today has shrunk due to the construction of facilities and administrative institutions in the garden that were separated from the palace.
